The Electrical Engineering programme is the oldest of all Engineering Programs in the country from which Electronics Engg. , Computer Engg. and Information Technology have originated.

The Department of ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING at M.L.Institute of Diploma Studies was established in the year 2004.

The student who studies electrical engineering is also taught all important topics related to Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Information Technology, and Computer Engineering.

As is known, the present power generation capacity of India is around 125,000 MW which will be doubled in next five years & also with the introduction of the Electricity Act, the Importance of the Electrical Engineering field has increased and all Electricity boards have now started becoming profitable.

Electrical Engineer has to play a very important role in next decade. The Indo-US nuclear power treaty will also open the doors of knowledge and opportunities in the country and abroad and therefore the demand for the Electrical Engineering Graduates is going to increase.

Department has full fledged laboratories in the area of Electrical Machines, Power Electronics & Measurement, High Voltage, Power Systems ( with software of Mi-POWER, MATLAB and LAB VIEW etc.), Microprocessors ( including PLC & Embedded systems) & Instrumentation and Control.

Department teachers & students are active in organizing & attending seminars, conferences & workshops from time to time.

In order to get the first hand working experience about the industries, the department arranges Industrial Tours & Visits in reputed industries, power plants, sub-stations

The Department & College Administration motivates the students for continuous systematic hard work.
