The infrastructure facilities including latest laboratory equipments, latest state of art experimental trainer kits enabled the department to be a front-runner amongst Institutes offering courses in Electronics and Communication.

The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering at M.L Institute of Diploma Studies was established in the year 2007.

The department consists qualified faculty members having expertise covering all areas of Electronics and Communication Engineering Discipline required for under graduate teaching. The faculty members keeps interacting with industries and R & D organizations.

The major areas consists of Analog Communication, Digital communication, Electromagnetics,  Antenna Systems and Wave Propagation, Microwave Engineering, Optical communication, Computer Hardware and Networking, Microprocessor and Microcontroller based system designs, Electronic Circuits Analysis and Design , VLSI Design, Wireless and Mobile communication, Digital Image Processing, Digital Signal Processing, Power Electronics and Control.

A dedicated computational laboratory is available for the students to perform programming exercise and simulation studies.

The department is well equipped with laboratories, classrooms and modern teaching aids. The laboratories include Basic Electronics Lab, Analog Electronics and Digital Electronics Laboratory, Microprocessors Laboratory, Project Laboratory, Communication Laboratory, VLSI Design Lab, Power Electronics Laboratory, Control system Laboratory, Digital Signal Processing Laboratory & Digital Image processing Laboratory and Electronic Measurement Laboratory.

Faculty members and expert laboratory assistants are available to the students as and when required apart from regular schedule.

Department arranges industrial visits regularly for the students. The department holds group discussion for students in the technology development and its implications. The department takes active interest in training and placement activity.

The department counsels the students for their carrier for progress in their study, for higher studies and jobs etc.

Department organizes seminars, symposium, workshops and expert talk in the various areas of interest to the students where speakers from industries, R&D organizations and other premier institutions are invited to deliver guest lecture.
