There are 120 intake in   this branch .

An evergreen branch of engineering, it requires little introduction. The students of  Mechanical Engineering acquire skills in the fields of  Design, Production and Management, Thermal engineering, with advanced electives in subjects like CAD /CAM, Internal combustion engines, Refrigeration and air conditioning etc.

They are exposed to the real life skill sets required through workshop exercises, industrial training and project work where all their knowledge and skills gained are put to fruitful use. Mechanical Engineering has all time demand and its spectrum grows with advance in other areas of Technology.

Any physical system, be it power, communication, computer or machinery, has to manufactured, operated, monitored or manipulated by mechanical engineering. In fact, no industry can run without its retinue of Mechanical engineers: be it Design, Erection, Commissioning, R & D, Production. Globalization, over seas collaborations, transfer of technology etc call for high quality standards and technology up gradation at all levels in the industry, where in a Mechanical Engineer has an important role to play.

Keeping such requirement in mind competent and experienced faculty of our Mechanical Engineering department prepares the students by giving assignments, conducting test, allowing extra industrial Practice/ Testing at concern local or nearby industries.
