India is one of the fastest growing automotive markets in the world. With aim of generation of automotive innovators the department of Automobile Engineering at M. L. Institute of Diploma Studies was established in the year 2004.

The infrastructure facilities including latest laboratory equipments, latest state of art experimental trainer kits enabled the department to be a front-runner amongst Institutes offering courses in Automobile.

The department consists qualified faculty members having expertise covering all areas of Automobile Engineering Discipline required for under graduate teaching. The faculty member keeps interacting with industries and R&D organizations.

The major area consists of Automobile Engine and system design, Vehicle maintenance and garage practice, Automobile Systems, Vehicle dynamics, Alternate Energy. A dedicated computational as well as research laboratory is available for the students to perform programming exercise and simulation studies.

The department is well equipped with laboratories, classrooms and modern teaching aids. The laboratories include Automobile Engine, Alternate fuels, Vehicle dynamics, Vehicle maintenance and garage practice lab, Engine testing lab, Design lab.

Faculty members and expert laboratory assistants are available to the students as and when required apart from regular schedule.

Department arranges industrial visits & industrial training for students. The department holds group discussion for students in the technology development and its implications. The department takes active interest in training and placement activity.

The department counsels the students for their carrier for progress in their study, for higher studies and jobs etc.

Department organizes seminars, symposium, workshops and expert talk in the various areas of interest to the students where speakers from industries, R&D organizations and other premier institutions are invited to deliver guest lecture.
